Job Description:

Prepares a variety of cooked meats, poultry, seafood, and vegetables on a grill or broiler, following established recipes and standards. Requires understanding of kitchen operations, proper food handling and sanitation practices, and excellent knife skills.The Broiler Cook must work quickly and accurately to produce high-quality dishes in a timely manner. Ensures all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented in an attractive manner.

  • Cooks chicken, fish, and other meats according to recipes
  • Regulates temperature of broilers, grills, and other cooking equipment
  • Monitors food quality and portion sizes
  • Keeps kitchen clean and organized
  • Checks inventory of supplies and orders items as needed
  • Complies with food safety regulations
  • Works in a hot and humid environment
  • Reads and follows recipes
  • Uses commercial kitchen equipment
  • Follows food safety regulations
