About the PositionWe are seeking a highly skilled Catering Manager to join our team at Chartwells Higher Education - Rowan University. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Catering Department, including training new associates, overseeing event set-ups, and directing temporary personnel.Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise all catering events and ensure proper service to clients.
• Involved in catering events operations, including logistics, quality improvement, sanitation, and all facility-related activities.
• Work with the Chef in creating menus and train catering associates in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service.
• Track and monitor labor and food cost for each event.
• Communicate effectively with management, clients, customers, and associates, maintaining excellent client relationships.Requirements:
  • 2 years of food service experience, including 1 year at the management level.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, and/or related food service operations.
  • Catering experience is required, and some knowledge of food and catering trends is desirable.
  • Financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills are essential.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet, are required.
  • ServSafe Certification is also necessary.What We Offer:
